Print Screen Information

I know that the print screen button on your computer is supposed to give you a screen capture of what you are look at on your computer screen. Though I had this option a long time ago, my current computer will not allow me to do it. A long time ago the print screen button on my computer worked, and I could save whatever I was looking at on my Internet browser. However, it seems that more and more computers are phasing out this feature, and if you want to get a screen capture you have to find special software.

I first noticed that my print screen was no longer working after my husband bought a special keyboard. This keyboard had a lot of extra features on it, and a lot of shortcuts to some of the software that I use quite often. I thought this was mighty handy, but once I realized that my print screen button would no longer work, I decided that I would rather go back to the old keyboard. It was too bad that he had thrown it out, and insisted that I use the new keyboard he had paid so much money for. I had to do without my printscreen button, and I had to find software to do the job for me.

Print Screen Tips

Once I got my laptop computer, I thought I had my printscreen button back. I was wrong. I don’t know what it is about my computer, but the print screen just does not work the way it’s supposed to. I had to again find and download special software just to get screen captures. I talked to another friend who has a laptop like mine, and she said that her print screen button works just fine. There’s apparently a hidden setting on my computer that have not yet found, and I have no idea how to get it working correctly. She hasn’t been able to help me either.

You can use your print screen button to lift photographs from the Internet, or to capture snapshots from videos you may have on your computer. If you can’t seem to get your print screen button to work, you can find a few free pieces of software online that will do the same thing. Be careful what you download though, as some software you find for free comes with a heavier price. I have been lucky and have not gotten a virus, but that does not mean I won’t in the future. Make sure you are getting your software from a trusted source before you download.
