Wide Format Printer
Wide Format Printer
Capability
When you run a small business like I do you may find that you
need items that you never dreamed of needed. My particular surprise
came in the need for a wide format
printer. Most of my income comes from making pencil
drawings for people. However, one client wanted something a little
different that required a wide format printer.
I guess that I should give you a brief look into what a wide
format printer is. Regular high-grade printers like the one
that I owned in the first place are capable of printing photographs
and poster-quality items as long as those prints were a certain
size. My customer wanted a picture that was over 24 inches
wide.
That would be fine if she had ordered a simple pencil drawing
but she opted for a poster sized portrait of her kids in digital
ink. This required a wide format printer because
she wanted a larger image than my computer printer could actually
handle. I had other options that I’ll share.
Wide Format Printer Other
Options
I could have gone through a couple of online printing companies
including Café Press or Snapfish. However, I really didn’t feel
right about using an online service for a product that I was
selling. I figured that purchasing a wideformatprinter
would be a better alternative to using another printing service for
my client.
I also wanted to forgo other options like Kinko’s. While I
really loved the idea of just letting the pros do the work, it
suddenly hit me that I am one of the pros and I need to do my own
work. This required the purchase of a good wide format printer for
those unusual orders that demand such a product.
When I saw that Kodak offered a great wide format
printer, I jumped on the chance to own one. The price was
right and this item has all of the features I could ever want. I’m
actually thinking about encouraging clients to consider buying
large scale portraits and drawings in digital ink.
Working in the field of art is a life-long dream that I am so
happy to have attained. Being able to put images down on paper is a
rewarding experience. In order to make sure that I offer a variety
of options for my clients I figured that the purchase of the
wideformatprinter is a great investment that will come to
good use.
