Windows Media Center
Windows Media Center Worth
It?
I was frustrated with my old computer for a very long time. I
could not watch videos for some reason, even though the other
accounts on the same computer could do so. I was always waiting and
waiting for my pictures to show up in my photo editing software so
that I could size them. I could not open more than six at a time or
my system would stop responding, and I would have to restart. When
I got a new laptop this year, I was really excited about the
Windows Media Center.
I thought it would make my life easier.
For the most part, Windows Media Center is a great
thing, but I don’t think it lives up to the hype. It does not do
more than the other programs that I have. It is great to open
something in a hurry, but I always have to open something else to
do what I want with it. Perhaps if I were to have the professional
version of the Windows Media Center (if they have one)
then I would be a bit more satisfied with the program and what it
can do.
Is Window Media Center a Time
Saver?
I’m not saying that Windows Media Center is not
a good thing. I think it’s great for what it was created for. I
have found that it is somewhat of a time saver if you aren’t
looking to manipulate anything. If you simply want to watch
something or listen to something, the WindowsMediaCenter
does what it is supposed to do. I have noticed, however, that it
does not recognize the video format from my digital camera. That is
something that has pushed me to use something else to view my
media.
For the most part, I don’t use my Windows Media
Center for very much. I have found that it is better for
me to open my Adobe program for my photos, and I use QuickTime for
my videos. I may not know everything that my
WindowsMediaCenter is meant to do, but I don’t feel
lacking for anything. Perhaps sometime soon I should open it back
up and see if there is anything interesting in there that none of
my other software programs have. I guess if you don’t want to pay
for a lot of extra programs for your computer this is a handy
program indeed. Think of it as a quick and handy way to deal with
all of your favorite media items.
